Bypass Doors
Usually 2 doors (can be up to 4 or 5 doors), bypassing doors glide on a
track and slide past one another side-to-side. The width of the
closet opening will determine the number of doors needed to conceal the
opening. One side of the closet is always blocked by one or more
doors. Virtually any style of molded,
wood,
or french
door can be used for bypassing closet doors. Usually, the
style matching the hinged doors in the home are used.
Bi-Fold
(See
styles below)
Bi-fold doors provide a convenient access to your closet.
Maximizing the width of the opening, and minimizing the space consumed
when open, these doors are best suited for closets and pantries when
there is little or no room for hinged doors, and when bypassing doors
are not feasible.
